Fear is a big weight to hold us down, so it must be dealt with. Fear will never just disappear on its own. You have to come together to dispel this fear with intention so that you can move forward. Charting a Course for Your Yoga Practice: Kim Hess-Stone

Becky Center & guest cohost, Kim Hess-Stone discuss how to chart your course for your yoga practice. In fully embracing the sailing metaphor in this discussion, the first part of charting your course is to set your intention. It’s been said that “where the eyes go, the body will follow”, and likewise, without your eyes set on a goal or intention in your yoga practice, you will not make progress to achieve your goal. Knowing why you are practicing yoga will help you chart a very intentional course for your practice.

Action Challenge: Take time to visualize your destination with yoga. Are you clear or is there doubt? Then meditate on your intention and what considerations need to be allowed for. Journal your responses.

Growing up in a tough environment with very masculine energy didn’t suit her sensitive side, and the message imprinted on her psyche was to mask her feelings. Accessing vulnerability and authenticity came into Rachel’s life through yoga. Now, her purpose in life is to bring this authenticity and vulnerability to others, through yoga retreats.

Life By Design: Step 2 - Acceptance

Keeping a critical eye on where you are in life means that you accept where you are, but you also have enough integrity to not use where you currently are as an excuse for not getting to where you want to be. In order to correct any character deficiencies in our lives, we have to have patience with ourselves, and allow ourselves to work through the process of improvement.

Fearless Pursuit Living: Declaring Your Intentions

Becky Center & guest cohost, Jen Zorn-Ford discuss how transformational it is to declare your intentions to make any sort of change in your life. Everyone has to deal with their own insecurities and limiting beliefs when attempting to make changes in our lives. Those tiny voices can easily overtake your good intentions. Making change is scary, and putting it out to the world is scary. So why not use your fear to your advantage and cement your level of commitment to change?

Action Challenge: Declare your intention to make a change in your life to a group or family, and also create 5 of your own daily declaration statements that you can declare daily to YOURSELF.
